Our Story
We started this in a quiet kitchen
No expert credentials, no recovery timeline. Just two people who watched this happen up close and decided to write it down honestly.
I am Amanda. For twenty three years my day started with somebody else's schedule. Lunches, practices, the drive to school, the late night talks I pretended to be annoyed about. Then the last one packed a car and I stood in the driveway waving until I could not see it, and I came back inside to a house that made no noise at all.
Everybody told me to enjoy the freedom. I did not feel free. I felt unemployed from the only job I ever wanted. I kept making too much food. I kept the porch light on. I told people I was fine because that felt easier than admitting I did not know who I was without somebody calling me Mom from the other room.
Here is what changed. I stopped waiting for the feeling to pass and started writing to myself instead. Small questions on a notepad in the morning. What did I like before all this. What am I actually afraid of. What would I do this month if nobody needed my permission. Slowly, the quiet stopped feeling like an ending.
I am Jamie, Amanda's daughter. I am the one who leaves the house and the one who builds this thing behind the scenes. I watched my mom go through something nobody prepares women for, and I watched how few honest resources there were for it. So we made them. She writes. I handle everything else.
This is not a brand about getting over it. It is about getting to know the woman who is still here.
Take your time. There is no schedule anymore.
